I spent the morning at my favorite birding spot: Hiyagon. Hiyagon is near the Awase Seawall, which leads out to a point occupied by a communication station and offers an unpopulated coastal area for more shorebirds. Hiyagon was full of old favorites, but the seawall led to some new discoveries. I didn't realize it at the time, but here is my first Terek Sandpiper:
There were many Ruddy Turnstones as well, all busy turning stones and eating the deliciousness they found.
Out at the tip of the communication farm were several Little Terns, the presence of which means spring is underway and summer is right around the corner.
