February 2014

February is a short month, so it is difficult to fit much adventure into four weeks.  I know things would be different if this were a leap year, AND I wasn't gainfully employed.

With my better half away gettin' his learning on, I had my weekends to myself to get in some quality birding.  The monthly eBird challenge was to visit under-visited "hot spots" and try to up the species list.  I committed myself to this challenge, visited 20 hot spots, and was able to change the color of a few of those upside-down raindrops!  Had I been thinking, I would have taken a photo of my productivity.  Instead, you'll have to be content with my prize new species: Gray-headed Lapwing!
