Snorkeling in the New Year

The first two days of 2013 have allowed us to get onto or into the water.  We like our 100% status for the year!  Snorkeling today was fantastic.  The sun was out, giving a clear view of the reef, and the wind was low enough that the waves were tolerable.  For me, the best part was equalizing my ears so that I could dive down to get a close look at some things.  We might have missed the eel, otherwise.

Ryan took the bottom right photo, and the rest are credited to "Zoom In."

Other goodies (and baddies) we saw during our snorkel:

  2. IN this post, we are using a Canon PowerShot D20. It claims to be waterproof up to 10m and shockproof up to 1.5m. It doesn't make any claims to being Ryan-proof, but it's done well so far!
